The chief inspector joined the police in Brühl in 1994. After successfully completing his training, Feldt spent a year at the police station in Bergheim before working in property security for the Bonn police from 1998 to 2000. He then spent several months providing support at the EXPO in Hanover. He then spent five years as a member of the police task forces in Bonn and Cologne. In 2005, the new district officer moved to the Rhein-Sieg district and was deployed at Troisdorf police station. The experienced officer is now looking forward to his new role. "After many years on police guard duty, I wanted to make a change," says Feldt. "I want to continue working on the streets and maintain contact with the citizens." The 48-year-old father of two is privately involved as a soccer coach. He currently coaches a U17 youth team. He will obtain his coaching license next year. Axel Feld replaces Chief Superintendent Annette Grabowski as the new district police officer in Rheidt, who is moving to the traffic service.
