Police Chief Superintendent Klaus Hofmann has been the district officer for the Lohmar-Süd area since today (December 1). Born in Neunkirchen, he takes over the job from Manfred "Manni" Kahl, who was the police contact and protection officer on the corner in Lohmar for many years. Chief Inspector Kahl will retire at the end of January 2024 and is currently familiarizing his successor with his duties in the district.
The "new guy" is 51 years old and has been with the police for around 30 years. Klaus Hofmann has spent most of his time in the patrol car at Siegburg police station and is therefore no stranger to the more than 130 Lohmar districts, hamlets and farms. The occasional footballer and father of three is looking forward to his new task and assures us that he will always be available for the citizens. We wish him every success!
