The 48-year-old from Mondorf has taken over from Chief Superintendent Norbert Goeke, who took his well-deserved retirement in the summer. Many thanks once again for his many years of dedicated work in his district.

For Marc Bernard, the father of a teenage daughter and married to a policewoman, the area he has taken over is not unknown, as he worked at Troisdorf police station for many years and may be familiar to some people. The chief inspector, who is a car and motor racing enthusiast and who works on his own vehicles in his spare time, describes himself as a family man. As a district police officer, he wants to be a direct point of contact for citizens and take care of their problems, worries and needs.
